Flooring Trends in 2023
We had a busy year in 2022, with product launches and updates across our entire flooring range. We believe in broadening our offering to help meet market demands and trends, so we need to have our finger on the pulse of what domestic and commercial customers are looking for.
With that in mind, here are our top trends for 2023:
Go big on pattern
We’ve seen a lot of demand for luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) this year, and we expect that to continue into 2023. LVT brings masses of flexibility – it comes in a wide range of modern and contemporary colours and patterns and it’s the ideal way to create a splash in a hallway, kitchen or a commercial setting. Easy to install, it has great soundproofing and insulation properties and can happily be laid over an underfloor heating system. And it’s easy to care for – so a win all round.
Back to natural wood
After several years of grey-toned wood being the most popular hardwood and laminate choice, we’re starting to see people warm up their homes with more natural golden colours. Herringbone patterns are particularly popular, and wood in general maintains its spot as one of the leading flooring choices for hard-wearing areas in homes and commercial areas. It fits nicely with the continued trend towards simple interior design, giving a stylish blank canvas for redecorating or new furniture.
Cosy up with luxury carpet
When times are tough, we want our homes to be an oasis. And when people are choosing where to spend their money in 2023, it could be on adding a touch of luxury to their home. Where better to start than with some sumptuous luxury carpet? Ideal for bedrooms, sitting rooms and family areas, carpets really warm up a home, help to zone different areas and add style to a relaxing space. Luxury carpets don’t have to cost a fortune either – so it’s an affordable treat.
